Adalbert Gans (born 1970) is a painter, object artist, and creator of light sculptures. His abstract body of work emerges intuitively, without preliminary sketches or a fixed plan. Color, light, and material gradually determine the direction of each piece. Inspired by traditions such as Murano glass and processes like melting and solidifying, Gans creates colorful objects in which transparency and light play a central role. His light sculptures possess a strong physical presence while simultaneously leaving room for the viewer's imagination. Gans does not view his work as having a single, definitive meaning. Above all, he aims to make wonder tangible within universes of light and color, granting the viewer the freedom to connect their own personal experience to the work.
