Opening of the Huis van Tichelen Gallery

Van 1 mei tot 12 juli 2026 opent Huis van Tichelen de deuren met ARTexpression, de eerste tentoonstelling in het voormalige Augustijnenklooster in Herentals. Ruim tien regionale, nationale en internationale kunstenaars tonen er een breed spectrum aan hedendaagse kunst: van schilderkunst en mixed media tot glas, brons en digitale creaties.

ARTexpression nodigt uit om te ontdekken, te reflecteren en te genieten van werken die esthetiek, expressie en innovatie combineren, in een unieke setting waar erfgoed en kunst samenkomen.

A new creative heart in Herentals

This year, Huis van Tichelen will open its doors in the former Augustinian monastery, located in the heart of the city. Led by Carlo van Tichelen, this extraordinary heritage is being given a new destination.

More than an atmospheric gallery with respect for the Augustinian Monastery's rich past, Huis van Tichelen will be a place where stories come to life, art gets a stage and Herentals experiences a creative milestone.

In addition to our own work, we present national and international artists: passionate talents, each with their own story to tell. Interested in exhibiting work at Huis van Tichelen yourself? The call will follow in early 2025.

At the moment, we are busy preparing and renovating everything to get everything ready.
